- Electromagnetic and electric interference – If other objects or instalments nearby interfere with the detector, the device is low in quality. This software enables the device to cancel out the noise from various sources like flickering light bulbs, photocopiers, two-radios, etc.
- Continued activation – the DFMD should be active throughout operations. It should not present circuitry deactivation at any time. Installing one that pauses detection in an unmanned area can be a safety risk for the members at that facility.
